Vacation With Intention: Download My Free Travel Journal

June 8, 2018 by Danyelle Little

Learn how to truly take a vacation without the interference of work plus download my free travel journal to help you remember your trip.

Most working Americans do not use their allotted vacation days. This means that many of us are overworked, overstressed, and under-nourished when it comes to our personal lives. This is the thing: we work so that we can take care of ourselves and our families, but we neglect to mindfully take time off because we are programmed to work, work, work, work, work. Not only is that the chorus of a Rihanna song, but it has become an anthem for how we live.

Traveling is an important part of cultivating oneself and is necessary. We need time to explore something new and partake in different surroundings, scenery, and cultures. If you do not travel at least once a quarter, my friend, it is time to change that.

I do my fair share of travel for both business and personal, and I make sure to take at least one trip each quarter that is for leisure only. It is a priority for me, and it is pretty much non-negotiable.

We work hard, we hustle, we burn the midnight oil, and it is time that we vacation with intention. This means that not only are we getting away from it all, but we are getting in much needed self-care and restoration for our mind, body, and soul. Intentional travel means we have a purpose for going to our destination alongside goals that we want to accomplish, so that it is not just a trip or vacation, but an experience as well.

In order to get the most out of your intentions when traveling, I am sharing my Free Travel Journal that you can print out in order to write down your thoughts, feelings, and memories daily while on vacay.

1st Quarter Check Up: How I’m Doing on my Goals

March 17, 2016 by Danyelle Little

The-Cubicle-ChickOn January 1st, I took to the task of writing my goals for the upcoming year and shared them on my website. Doing so was a way for me to stay accountable to my goals—for putting them out there on my platform would be one way of making sure that I stayed on track. Now that we are almost three full months into the year, I wanted to be totally transparent and let you guys know how I’ve been doing thus far.

Personally I can say that there have been a few challenges this year. Nothing that isn’t insurmountable, but definitely not expected or planned. I can tell you that over the years, I’ve relied on my ability to be resilient and pivot when needed, and these challenges called for that. Even as a Work Life Management advocate, I too, have problems with sticking to boundaries that are super important in relationships, both professionally and personally—let’s just say in this area, I am still a work in progress.

Now, as far as my goals, I am attacking them with fortitude and vigor. To recap what I shared on 1/1/16, I am copying and pasting the goals that I listed below:

  • Hangouts and chats focused on working parent topics and entrepreneurial subjects
  • An e-Course
  • Two in-person conference and/or workshop events (one in my city and one in another location)
  • Two books (yes, two FULL books)
  • A skillfully produced video series
  • More branded products/eStore
  • At least 3 high-profile speaking engagements
  • At least 3 high-profile TV appearances on major networks
  • Podcast (yes, I want to return back to podcasting in 2016)

So far during the first quarter, I’ve done the following: (read the rest after the break)

Why You Should Utilize Work Life Management for Success {Video}

August 19, 2015 by Danyelle Little

Danyelle Little vlog

Work Life Management is the act of managing both your personal & the professional life in a positive fashion. It is a useful tool that helps you soar while keeping you full, yet less stressed. We may not have the ability to have it all, but we can work towards ultimate fulfillment which can create a healthy lifestyle for not only ourselves, but our families as well. I began as a Work Life Balance proponent, but found that the word ‘balance’ constitutes something that may never be achieved by most humans. But management and the active use of creating systems and boundaries for our lives is something we can all not only achieve, but be successful at as well.
