My Biggest Blogging Mistakes

October 23, 2017 by Danyelle Little

During my 7 years of blogging, I've made my share of blunders. I'm sharing my biggest blogging mistakes in hopes that you avoid them.

In the past, I’ve shared with you things that I feel have made me a successful blogger. By successful, I mean someone who has been able to make a full-time living blogging exclusively. Establishing my blog when I did, being a voice in an uncluttered working parent space, and working positively consistent have been a few ingredients in my secret sauce.

But, I have made many goofs that impeded my progress. I am now sharing these mistakes that I made with you in my latest WORK IT! Podcast. The first year or so when I began blogging, I had no idea what I was doing. Luckily for me, I began to take it seriously and began studying the craft while getting my strategy together.

You can listen HERE and hopefully learn from my guffaws.

Wanna know some blogging musts that can lead to increased blogging profits? Here we go:

Why You Should Add An About Me Video To Your About Me Page

July 29, 2017 by Danyelle Little

Hi guys!

I know it’s been a minute since I’ve shared a blog post on here, but I wanted to come back and share this tidbit with you.

In a very crowded and oversaturated social media landscape, you’ve got to do what you can to be heard above the noise. With so many campaigns, opportunities to work with brands for revenue, and income streams online, you don’t want to leave any money on the table.

A strong way that you can make a compelling introduction is by having an About Me video on your About Me page.

On video, people can see things that they can’t see in your written words or photos. They can see your passion, your knowledge, and learn more about you. A video can be used to showcase your speaking ability while showing off the unique person you are. It allows you to “sell” and “sizzle”.

Welp. 2016, It’s Been Real.

December 19, 2016 by Danyelle Little

During these last few weeks of 2016, I’ve been recapping, reviewing, and rewinding. Before we can plan to chart new progress and new goals for the upcoming year, we have to be retrospective. For me, 2016 was a watershed year. Relentless in the good and the bad, a reminder of what is at stake, and a contender for one of the most “interesting” years personally. Business-wise, things were okay. I continued strong monetary streams, created new products and services, launched a growing podcast, and started a new media imprint (which you will hear about soon). I feel like I accomplished some goals, but didn’t go as hard in the paint as I could’ve.

It was hard to concentrate.
