I’m Heading to BlogHer ’12: A Girl Can’t Have Too Many Shoes

August 1, 2012 by Danyelle Little

In less than 24 hours, I will be heading to BlogHer ’12 in New York City. This will be my second year attending the conference, which is like the Mack Daddy of blogging events. It’s huge! With other 4,000 attendees, BlogHer is the biggest conference I have attended up to this point; but it’s also a do-not-miss event because it offers so much in terms of networking, learning, and taking your blog to the next level.

Last year, I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but this year, I feel uber prepared. I have kept my schedule light because I refuse to me stressed out! 🙂

As a blogger and entrepreneur, it’s important to invest in yourself. These types of conferences are well worth the investment for me because I get to learn from those who are very knowledgeable as well as network and connect with brands, other bloggers, and companies that I’d like to work with.

If you are a blogger, if you don’t go to any other conference, I say you should go to BlogHer. And don’t let the name fool you. Yes, it’s organized by women but male bloggers also attend.

If you care to follow my exploits (and my shoe game) in the Big Apple at BlogHer, you can do so by following me on Twitter and on my Facebook page.

It’s Official: The Cubicle Chick, LLC

July 7, 2012 by admin

With the help of my attorney, Andrea Harvey from Harvey Family Law and her social media based consulting firm, H&T Consulting, I am now registered as a LLC under The Cubicle Chick, LLC.

Why is that such a big deal, you ask? As a blogger who has made a business with her site and brand, having it acknowledged as a business is pretty important to me. I want to be able to use the tools put forth for small businesses and entrepreneurs, so having my business recognized as such is a wonderful way to do that.

More and more, bloggers are securing their entities legally and running it like a full fledged business.

If you are currently blogging, I encourage you to register your business as an LLC, or other moniker that makes your blog/business recognized legally.

Welcome to DanyelleLittle.com

After contemplating long and hard about whether or not I should start yet another website, I went ahead and took the plunge. Mainly because, as my main website, TheCubicleChick.com grows larger, I have been receiving more inquiries and opportunities to speak, do television appearances, etc. It only made since that I created a website for me personally that will serve as a web portal for me professionally.

As a blogger, many of you know how important it is to brand your name and have a powerful web presence. So on this site, I will share my professional side of Cubicle Chick, list my upcoming appearances, as well as share another glimpse of me that you may not get to see on TheCubicleChick.com.
