Last weekend was spent in the wonderful city that is New Orleans at The Niche Mommy Conference. As I blogged before, I was invited to attend the first year of Niche Mommy as an attendee and a panelist. It was a great mix of bloggers who wanted to network, learn, and share their blogging experiences. Taking our blogs to the next level by making it our primary business is something that most of us attending aspire to do, and there were plenty of experts on hand to share their knowledge and guidance.
I went to the conference a day early to get a feel for New Orleans, since this was my first visit. On Thursday, I soaked up time in the Guerlain Spa located in The Roosevelt Hotel New Orleans, and then met up with other attendees at a pre-conference reception. Afterwards, we headed to the French Quarter and kicked it with the Collective Bias Crew (actually, make that two nights!).
The two and a half day conference was wonderful and was well put together. I love a conference that is located in a great venue and that runs smoothly.
Below are a few pictures of my escapades and adventures in New Orleans. I would recommend Niche Mommy Conference to anyone who wants to learn more about how to make their blog and social media presence and influence a full-time career.
Thanks to Nadia and Greta for a fabulous conference experience!

Tracy! Hi there! Thanks for leaving me some comment love, and I enjoyed meeting you as well! It is my understanding that Cafe Mom recorded the conversation to be broadcast on their Moms Matter Election site. I will share the link when it becomes available. Since it was a panel, we didn’t have any notes per se. But I think the video will serve as a great summary!

Kesha, I never went in there. The name alone stopped me in my tracks. I also saw a lot of VoodDoo dolls in the French Quarter and on Bourbon Street. Such peculiar looking things. But I didn’t dare come close to ’em. LOL.

It was so great meeting you! I kept going back to your business card thinking how beautiful you are…even more so in person. You and Raijean had me crackin’ up with her whole “Latina on Saturday” business…she’s too much. Until next time!
Danyelle Little says
Vanessa, thank you so much! You are far too kind! It was nice meeting you too and hoping to get to chat it up with you at Blogalicious next month 🙂

I enjoyed reading your re-cap…I think that I needed triple the time spent in NOLA in order to meet everyone! Maybe we can connect next year. Loved your photos. I’m so mad at myself, for forgetting my camera. At least I am able to read others posts, and see some of the things that I missed:-)
