I Am a Panelist: St. Louis Social Media Club Blogging Panel 9/24

September 17, 2012 by Danyelle Little

I am very excited to announce my latest appearance as a panelist for St. Louis Social Media Club’s (SMCSTL) September event and happy hour. Entitled ‘Blogging Panel’, it will feature myself and three other professionals who blog, either under their own entity, or for a company or business. I am elated about this because St. Louis Social Media Club is spotlighting a very important and crucial part of social media which is blogging, something that I am very passionate about.

The event will take place on Monday, September 24th from 6 to 8pm at Milagro Modern Mexican in Webster Groves. The event is free but you have to RSVP to the event (currently the event is on waitlist, but there may be additional tickets being released prior to the date).

I would really love if you are in the St. Louis area to join me, the other panelists, and St. Louis Social Media Club.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

There’s No Party Like a NOLA Party: Niche Mommy Conference 2012

August 28, 2012 by Danyelle Little

Last weekend was spent in the wonderful city that is New Orleans at The Niche Mommy Conference. As I blogged before, I was invited to attend the first year of Niche Mommy as an attendee and a panelist. It was a great mix of bloggers who wanted to network, learn, and share their blogging experiences. Taking our blogs to the next level by making it our primary business is something that most of us attending aspire to do, and there were plenty of experts on hand to share their knowledge and guidance.

I went to the conference a day early to get a feel for New Orleans, since this was my first visit. On Thursday, I soaked up time in the Guerlain Spa located in The Roosevelt Hotel New Orleans, and then met up with other attendees at a pre-conference reception. Afterwards, we headed to the French Quarter and kicked it with the Collective Bias Crew (actually, make that two nights!).

The two and a half day conference was wonderful and was well put together. I love a conference that is located in a great venue and that runs smoothly.

Below are a few pictures of my escapades and adventures in New Orleans. I would recommend Niche Mommy Conference to anyone who wants to learn more about how to make their blog and social media presence and influence a full-time career.

I’m Heading to BlogHer ’12: A Girl Can’t Have Too Many Shoes

August 1, 2012 by Danyelle Little

In less than 24 hours, I will be heading to BlogHer ’12 in New York City. This will be my second year attending the conference, which is like the Mack Daddy of blogging events. It’s huge! With other 4,000 attendees, BlogHer is the biggest conference I have attended up to this point; but it’s also a do-not-miss event because it offers so much in terms of networking, learning, and taking your blog to the next level.

Last year, I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but this year, I feel uber prepared. I have kept my schedule light because I refuse to me stressed out! 🙂

As a blogger and entrepreneur, it’s important to invest in yourself. These types of conferences are well worth the investment for me because I get to learn from those who are very knowledgeable as well as network and connect with brands, other bloggers, and companies that I’d like to work with.

If you are a blogger, if you don’t go to any other conference, I say you should go to BlogHer. And don’t let the name fool you. Yes, it’s organized by women but male bloggers also attend.

If you care to follow my exploits (and my shoe game) in the Big Apple at BlogHer, you can do so by following me on Twitter and on my Facebook page.

I’m Speaking: INC Yourself, July 19th

July 8, 2012 by admin

It’s no secret that I love social media. I also love teaching others about social media so that they can use it to their advantage in whatever business or endeavor that they are working on. I will be speaking about the wonderfulness that is social media at St. Louis Comptroller’s Office’s workshop series and community initiative entitled ‘INC Yourself’ at St. Louis Community College on Thursday, July 19th from 5-7pm. The event will be held at STLCC’s William Harrison Education Center .

INC Yourself is a program created by St. Louis Comptroller Darlene Green’s office to help energize and motivate local entrepreneurs. A lot of people want to start their own businesses but don’t have the tools to do so. INC Yourself is built of empowering people who want to go from working for someone else to creating their own businesses and income. I will be co-teaching the seminar with Business Coach Sandra Marks of Marks & Associates, who encourages people to take their passions and create a business.

The workshop is free, but you have to register in order to participate. To enroll, call 314-984-7777.

I will be on hand during the event to tell my story of how I have used social media to build the “empire” that is The Cubicle Chick.

I hope to see you there!
