Can you believe it’s almost that time again for Back to School? I don’t know about you, but it seems like my kids just got out of school a week or so ago! Back to School time means that you will be spending more money than usual making sure your child is prepared for the new school year, but it doesn’t mean you have to go broke. This year, Missouri will have their annual Sales Tax Free Weekend Holiday Friday, August 3rd through Monday, August 6th.
Shopping during the Missouri Sales Tax Free Weekend is a great way to maximize savings on school items. Stores are already discounting school supplies, clothing, and computers for this time of year—bring your savings up a notch by also shopping during this weekend.
I will unfortunately be in New York City for BlogHer during the Sales Tax Free Weekend, but best believe I will leave my other half with a list so he can purchase our daughter’s items and take full advantage of no sales tax.
Please keep in mind, in the state of Missouri, the Sales Tax Free Weekend is only for the following items:
- Clothing, shoes, underwear
- School supplies such as paper, pencils, rulers, markers, etc.
- Computers
If you are not in Missouri, your state may also have a Sales Tax Free Weekend as well. Click HERE for a full list.
