How It Feels To Be a Creative In Uncertain Times

March 26, 2020 by Danyelle Little

What's it like to be a creator in uncertain times? How can you show support to your faves? I'm giving you the real deal here.

It was all good just a month ago.

My digital imprint TheCubicleChick.com was on an upswing in terms of traffic and revenue after being flat for several months, and I had just signed two lucrative contracts with brands, and was working on another one which would bring me a nice payday.

I was also working at a regional supermarket chain on their digital team creating copy and working on their website and mobile properties.

It was the best of times. And then the worst of times happened.

My contractor position at the grocery chain was paused, and one of the contracts that I had worked so hard on was put on hold as well. Covid-19 became a pandemic of epic proportions and we are now experiencing a new normal.

As a creative in uncertain times, this is what it currently feels like:

The Cubicle Chick Google + Hangout: Any Suggestions?

March 16, 2013 by Danyelle Little

In my quest for world dominance and a more thorough presence on all new media platforms, I have been stepping up my game in the form of video. I also see Google+ being used widely as a way to communicate authentically with readers and discuss issues and topics that they want to know more about. I would like to begin using Google + Hangouts at least once a month as yet another way to share with my readers and followers.

So I have a few questions for you. In terms of topics, what would you like to see me discuss during a Google + Hangout? What days and/or times work for you? Are weekends better than weekdays?

In addition, would you like to see my Google + Hangout recorded and for airplay on my YouTube channel? Would this be something you would watch?

Let me know your thoughts.  Please reply in the comments and sound off 🙂

I’m A Panelist at The Niche Mommy Conference!

August 24, 2012 by Danyelle Little

I’ve been sitting on a bit of news! Last week, I was selected to be on a special panel at The Niche Mommy Conference currently taking place in New Orleans. The panel is called Moms Matter in 2012: Discussing the 2012 Election. As someone who does discuss politics from time to time on my social networks (and as a fangirl of Michelle Obama, which has been showcased many times on my blog), I felt that I had a lot of lend in this area.

I will be a panelist with several other moms, some who discuss politics on their websites and others who shy away from it. The goal of our session is to bring attention to the next election and the importance of our voices as a collective unit expressing our needs, no matter what political side we happen to be on. The session is being moderated by Lindsay Ferrier and Cafe Mom, which will be recording video of the session for their website.

Political affiliation and the presidential election can be sticky topic to discuss on any platform, and I know a lot of my colleagues don’t like to blog about the current political climate. This will be a dynamic and interesting session discussing all sides, and I feel very proud be a part of it.

The panel will take place on Saturday, and I am hoping I will be able to bring you pictures and tid-bits from the discussion, and furnish you with a link to the video when it is live!
